Hello everyone. I hope everyone had a Happy Valentine’s Day!

CEPA: On Feb. 16 at 7 p.m., the WingNuts return to CEPA to present an all-new show, the Classic Rock Cassette Era. Tickets are $25.

Love classical music? Looking for a classy date night? Just want to try something new? Come see the Symphony! The Alabama Symphony Orchestra is coming to CEPA! Join in for a night of musical entertainment on March 1 at CEPA at 7pm for An Evening of Serenades. Tickets are $20 and $12.

Then, on March 2 at 6:30 p.m., you can enjoy Dancing With Our Stars. Tickets are $25 or $30 at the door. All proceeds go to the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office.

Sports: The PCHS Panther Football Banquet was held Sunday afternoon. It was a time of good food, fellowship, and awards. This year, awards were given out named after former Panther football greats. Our history is very important, and we are so glad that coach Rush Propst is incorporating it into the banquet awards.

Also, the PCHS Panther Football Team had six players sign with colleges on National Signing Day, Feb. 7. The PCHS Panther basketball team had one player sign with a college on that day. Michael Snow signed with Samford University, Caleb Groce signed with Louisiana Monroe, Hunter Otwell signed with Jax State, Jake Blackstone signed with UAB, LJ Berry signed with Mars Hill, and William Molan signed with Cumberland. In basketball, Garrison Hildebrant signed with Center College. Congratulations to all of these great young men.

Congratulations to Victory Christian Lion basketball player, Peyton Scott who made All-Area and All-Area Tournament team two years in a row. This guy set a goal to average 20 points per game and wound-up averaging 21.2.

The PCHS wrestling team is headed to State on Feb. 15-17 in Huntsville. Members include Malik Watts, Jacob Wiley, Casey Cambron, Drake Pabst, Talen McNutt, Wyatt Hubley, Stefan McGraw and Elijah Wilson. Good luck, guys. The team finished up the regular season with a 29-9 dual record.

Is your young boy, currently in 3rd – 6th grades, interested in playing AAU travel basketball? Then don’t miss the interest and information meeting tonight in the Pell City High School old gym from 5-6 p.m.

Is your child interested in soccer? Then check out pellcityfc.com for information on how to improve the soccer experience. Pell City FC is offering a Development Academy, Summer Clinics, and Personal Training sessions.

School: Local scholarships are now available. You can find information on the student’s Schoology account under local scholarships and on the counseling website at pellcitycounseling.weebly.com/local-scholarships.html. Several scholarships available are offered by Coosa Pines Federal Credit Union, DKG, International Society for Key Women Educators, Coosa Valley Electric Cooperative, Delta Kappa Gamma and Pell City Players. More will be added as they become available.

Local: Pell City Chamber of Commerce: Business Builder will be on Thursday, Feb. 22, from 8:30-9:30 a.m. Speaker will be Serge Brazzolotto, President of Pell City Rotary. This event is free, but seating is limited and registration is required.
