What’s Up in Odenville

(Upcoming events are in bold.)
On June 21, the Odenville community was rocked to it’s core with the loss of 15 year old Austin Trammell, a courageous young man who had been fighting a recurrent, progressive, metastatic anaplastic astrocytoma form of cancer.
He was diagnosed with a mixed malignant germ cell tumor of the pineal region (brain cancer) in 2010 when he was only 8 years old. Then, in March of 2016 after almost 6 years in remission, he was diagnosed with a second type of Brian tumor, an anaplastic astrocytoma.
He had a total six brain surgeries during his battle with cancer, but he never gave up.
Austin loved fishing, hunting, and his country music. He never met a stranger, he loved everyone, and everyone loved him. His smile lit up a room and his outgoing personality was extremely contagious. He touched so many people; teaching them about courage, strength and never giving up.
Austin, our little town was brighter from having you in it and your amazing spirit will never be forgotten. Fly High… #AustinsArmy
