- Logan Martin Lake levels predicted as of Friday morning.
St. Clair County is under a Flood Watch through late tonight and could be extended through the weekend.
Multiple rounds of heavy rainfall are anticipated for portions of North Central Alabama through Saturday morning. Surface soil conditions are already saturated, and much of this rainfall will runoff quickly, filling low lying areas, ditches, and creeks.Local rivers and streams will also rise due to excessive rainfall locally and across upstream river basins.
Total rain amounts since Sunday are already 3 to 6 inches, with locally higher amounts. An additional 1 to 2 inches of rain is possible over the watch area through Saturday morning with locally higher amounts. Yet another storm system will move across Central Alabama Saturday night.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…
A flood watch means there is a potential for flooding based on current forecasts.
