4-H Summer Camp at the Alabama 4-H Center in Columbiana was held June 11-13. A total of 44 campers ranging in age from 4th-9th grade attended. The youth came from the Pell City, Ashville, Moody, Odenville, Springville and Steele areas.

Attendees experienced a lot of activities including rocketry, dance, archery, swimming, canoeing, paddle boarding, the climbing wall, giant swing, team building, and learned some survivor skills.

“The kids had a fantastic time!” said 4-H Agent Assistant Becky Staples. “A special thank you to all our 4-H campers, St. Clair County 4-H Counselor in Training, Brooke Perry, and our four wonderful parent volunteers, Kebrina Reynolds (3rd year volunteer), Kristi Blackwell, Kandice Hunter, and Laura Shelton.”

They hope to have a group as large or larger in 2019.  Any child between the ages of 9 and 19 can attend 4-H Summer Camp.
