The Pell City Christmas Parade took place on Dec. 13 at 7 p.m.

With Christmas around the corner, this tradition helps families get out and enjoy the holidays. With all the mesmerizing lights and beautiful floats comes hard work.

Throughout the beginning of December, companies, churches, and non-profit groups began planning ideas for the theme “A Storybook Christmas”. Every year, the judges choose the best float overall, and best in the following categories: Industry/Large Retail, Churches and Schools, Civic Organizations and Small Retail.

The Preferred Precision Group took the best float overall, while the winner of each category (in order) include: Benjamin Moore, New Hope Baptist, Pell City Line Dancers and USPS.

The year is ending with many traditions but the Pell City Christmas Parade sponsored by the Pell City Chamber of Commerce is a people’s favorite.
