The Pell City Chamber of Commerce is looking forward to a productive year.
At the 2018 Annual Stakeholders Meeting last week, the Chamber swore in six new board members and announced their newly appointed executive board. Brandon Turner was named President, Chris Christian was appointed as Vice-President, and Ashley St. John was named Treasurer.
“We have an extremely great group of Directors coming on with very energetic and capable officers taking the lead,” said Larry Daugherty, outgoing Chamber President, who was unable to attend, sent in a message that new president Brandon Turner read to attendees. “Lastly let me express to all our member businesses, industries, non-profits as well as individual members my deep appreciation for your membership and support. We would not be able to do what we do for our community without your support.”
Newly elected Board of Director members for the Pell City Chamber of Commerce are Greg Weber, Karen Pack, Urainah Glidewell, Justin Williams, Tommy Barrows, and Brooke Tollison. Members were officially sworn in by Judge Alan Furr at the Stakeholder’s Meeting held at Louie’s Grill on Jan. 11.
“We are here to see the city grow and prosper,” new Board President Brandon Turner said. “We want to see everyone succeed.”
The Pell City Chamber of Commerce has several events planned for 2018, including three Bass Tournaments, Miss Alabama Pageant, Block Party, and Christmas Parade. The Chamber will also continue their Lunch and Learn and After Hours opportunities to highlight local businesses.
