The art of Brian Bohanan will be on display this month in downtown Leeds.

Folk artist Brian Bohanan from Helena is the Leeds Arts Council featured artist for December.

Inspired by childhood experiences, Bohanan enjoys how life translates into his scenes.

From his first work, a collage, Bohanan has continued on his creative journey by working with repurposed items and works from memory.

“All of my art tells a story,” said Bohanan. “When people see my work I want to stir something in them where it speaks to them to where they can be inspired or moved.”

The Leeds Theatre and Arts Center is located at 8140 Parkway Drive in historic downtown Leeds.

The gallery is open Wednesday through Friday from 1O a.m. to 2 p.m.

Bohanan’s exhibit is free, but his work is available for purchase.
