Great ready to jump for joy. FUNBOX, which touts itself as the “The World’s Biggest Bounce Park,” a 25,000 square feet of inflatable wonderland is coming back to The Shops of Grand River for a limited time engagement.

With an opening date of Friday, Feb. 28, the front parking lot of The Shops of Grand River will be transformed into an inflatable play area, featuring 10 zones like the Tumble Temple, Marshmallow Mountain, Gumball’s Gallop and an obstacle course that will keep visitors on their toes.

“We are thrilled to bring FUNBOX® back to the Birmingham area and can’t wait to welcome everyone back for another round of fun,” FUNBOX® Birmingham franchisee, Mustafa Saleemi said in a press release. “This is an experience like no other. A place where families can unplug, put away the devices and spend a day full of joy and entertainment. There is no age limit to have fun and here, everyone can be a kid again.”

Cost is $18 per ticket if purchased online and $22 at the door Feb. 28, with a portion of the proceeds going to support two local foster organizations: Heart Gallery Alabama and Garret’s Place.

Heart Gallery Alabama identifies youth in foster care and links them with mentors who assist them in achieving stability and direction.
Garret’s Place offers essential products like suitcases, clothing, books, toys and school supplies to foster children when they enter new homes.
This is close to the heart of FUNBOX co-founder Antonio Nieves, who spent his childhood in the foster system.

In line with its mission to contribute to the community, FUNBOX gives back $1 from every ticket purchased during the opening weekend to a local foster organization and offers a private, free session for foster children in these programs. In 2023 alone, FUNBOX contributed more than $100,000 across all its parks.

FUNBOX will be open from Feb. 28 until May 18. Jumpers must be a minimum of 2-years-old. Tickets should be booked online at https://funbox.com/birmingham. Opening weekend, hours Friday will be 3-6 p.m. Saturday/Sunday hours will be 10:30 a.m.-6 p.m. Spring break will also be 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
