The Springville Public Library saw more than 300 visitors writing letters to Santa at the library during The Wassail Walkon Saturday, Nov. 18, hosted by the Springville Area Chamber of Commerce.

Kindergarteners at Springville Elementary learned about Pilgrims, Native Americans and the origins of Thanksgiving on Nov. 16.

The SMS Cheer Squad performed at Jordan Hare Stadium in Auburn University for Spirit Day at halftime on Nov. 18.

The St. Clair Boy Scouts have placed Snow Scouts around town for locals to find and post photos with on social media. #snowscouts

The Annual Springville Chamber of Commerce Christmas Parade will be held on Main Street on Saturday, Dec. 9.

The Springville Police Department is hosting a toy drive for Toys for Tots. They are currently taking donations and new unwrapped gifts (please no stuff animals). You can drop the toys off at the police department Monday through Friday from 8-5 p.m. Last year the SPD helped More than 50 local families. Those needing assistance can pick up applications at the police department. The deadline is for assistant applications is Dec. 11.

The Springville Preservation Society is taking reservations for use of the historic “Little House” located adjacent to the Police Department for events or meetings.
