Leeds Arts Council’s (LAC) presents its latest murder mystery, Agatha Christie’s—A Murder Is Announced.
Directed by long-time LAC supporter Cliff Keen, Jr., and adapted for the stage by Leslie Darbon, LAC’s annual mystery dinner theatre intrigues crowds starting this Friday, October 5 at 7 p.m.
Taking center stage at the Leeds Theatre and Arts Center located at 8140 Parkway Drive in historic downtown Leeds, the spotlight will shine and have it’s audience guessing—whodunit.
Catered by Top Notch, this Leeds based business offers guests the choice of pecan chicken or beef tips.
Dinner tickets are $25 and Sundays’ dessert theatre tickets are $15.
Dinner is served at 6 p.m.
Show dates are October 5, 6, 12 and 13 at 7 p.m., October 7 at 4 p.m. and October 14 at 2 p.m.
Limited “show only” tickets are also on sale for $10.
Reservations are required the Monday before weekend performances.
LAC Play Chair Sandi Nicholson outlines the murder mystery in a description she provided.
“The ‘announcement’ is in the local paper, stating the time and place of the murder to occur in Miss Blalock’s early Victorian house. However, the victim is not one of the several occupants, temporary and permanent, but an unexpected and unknown visitor. What follows is a classic Christie puzzle of mixed emotions, concealed identities, unexpected twists and a determined Miss Maple on hand to provide the final solution.”
The Leeds Theatre and Arts Center is handicap accessible.
Nicholson along with the other members of LAC invite you to join them for a family friendly evening of entertainment.
