The St. Clair County Extension Resource Health Council will host their annual health fair on Thursday, October 18 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Pell City Civic Center.  The fair is FREE and open to the public. This year’s theme is “Your Best Defense…Good Health.”

The following screenings will be offered this year at no charge: cholesterol; blood pressure; blood glucose; glaucoma and vision screenings; depression; and chiropractic. The Alabama Department of Public Health (ADPH) will also administer flu shots. The cost is $5 per person or free to those covered by Medicaid or Medicare (please bring your card).

The health fair is designed to increase awareness and promote healthy lifestyles throughout the community. Organizations from across the St. Clair County and surrounding areas will provide educational information in an effort to help residents become better acquainted with the health care resources in their area.

Entertainment will be provided and door prizes will be given away throughout the day.
