The SHS Cross Country Track Team competed at the Class 5A, Section 2 Sectionals meet at Central Clay County High School Oct. 31. The team had several top 10 finishes and qualified for the state meet for both boys and girls teams. Congrats to Brayden Chandler for winning the Boys 5000m Race and Carmen McMaster, 2nd Place in the Girls 5000m. Adalyn Seigman, Felicity Bentley, Kate Hale, Tate Milstead and Brayden Marlow had Top 10 finishes as well.

Congratulations to the 2025 Miss Historic Springville Pageant winner Carson Champion and Miss Historic Springville’s Teen Pageant winner Addison Shoemaker. The pageant was Sunday, Oct. 27 at SMS. Miss Historic Springville is an official preliminary to the Miss Alabama and Teen Competition.

The Springville Elementary Fourth grade students learned about static electricity Oct. 30, in science class.

The Springville Public Library was a popular spot at the annual Treats on Main Event on Halloween.

The 3rd Springville Preservation Society’s Festival of Trees and Wreaths will be showcased inside the historic Springville Presbyterian church which is now more than 150 years old. The glow of Christmas lights is amazing in this beautiful gem that is the centerpiece of Springville’s historic district.
