It has truly been a pleasure of mine to be able to work directly with Bro. Jacky Connell on his recent book signing events for the launch of his first book, “Painkillers”. God revealed to Bro. Jacky a few months ago that we didn’t just have a drug epidemic in our society, but more importantly, we have a pain epidemic. So many people are hurting and are seeking out any way they can just to stop the pain, even if just temporarily. This new book explores this idea and seven ways that we run, not just to drugs and alcohol, when are in pain. I already have my autographed copy of the book and the study guide and I encourage you to get one, too. My husband and I are leading a small group to explore this topic and I would like to extend an invitation to join us. If you are interested in more information on our small group, please contact me. If you would like more information about the Painkillers book, please visit www.JCImpact.org.
Also, Bro. Jacky will be the guest speaker at the Greater Odenville Chamber of Commerce meeting scheduled for 11:30 a.m. on Monday, April 2 at Odenville Presbyterian Church. Bro. As we approach Easter, this is a great time for reflection as we celebrate the death, burial and resurrection of a risen Savior, Jesus Christ. You may or may not have been to church very much or at all, but I am sure that you have heard of this man. Jesus was one the most significant men in the history of the world. Many of us believe that He is truly the Son of God, fully God and fully man who lived on this earth only a short time to experience what we all have experienced as a person. We believe that He was the perfect sacrifice to atone our sins and make us right with God, only if we truly believe He is who He says He is and accept Him as our personal Savior and Lord. If you would like to know more about this man, the wonderful story and how it applies to you, please feel free to contact me. I would love to share more!
