If you love homemade meals but just don’t have the time to cook, a pressure cooker may be just the ticket!
You can create fabulous meals in about a third of the time of standard methods. Using the pressure cooking method allows tough meats to become fork tender in just a few minutes while preserving nutrients and cutting energy costs. Flavors become enhanced, vivid colors of vegetables are preserved, and one-dish meals become realities when preparing meals using this method. It is quick, easy, fun, and most of all delivers delicious results.
Did you invest in a pressure canner and plan to put it away until harvest time comes around next year? Well, don’t! You can use your pressure canner as a pressure cooker to cook meals. It’s a wonderful duo! Don’t let the “pressure cooker exploding” horror stories of the past prevent you from preparing home cooked meals in the pressure canner/cooker. Make plans now to attend the St. Clair County Extension workshop, which will put your mind at ease and fill it with knowledge, skill and inspiration. They will also cover Instapots.
The workshop will be held on Thursday, October 24 from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. at the St. Clair County Extension Office, located on the lower level of the St. Clair County Courthouse in Pell City.
The fee to attend this workshop is $15 per person which includes lunch and recipes. Enrollment is limited to 20 people and classes fill up quickly! You must pre-register to attend.
Please contact the St. Clair County Extension Office at 205-338-9416 for more information.
