Each month, Eden Elementary School recognizes their Kids with Character, students that have demonstrated that month’s “character word”—an essential value shown through behavior.
In the case of February, that word was respect.
“Respect means showing others they are important by what you say and do,” said Laurie Funderburg, principal at Eden Elementary. “We love to have students recognized for showing (this).”
Students were awarded certificates stating they had “been caught demonstrating Respect by the Teachers & Staff of Eden Elementary School,” followed by the date and principal’s signature.
The students recognized were Ireland McCann, Emili Zamora, Aubree Mulvehill, Jett Bearden, Robbie Long, Briley Bowman, Bella Davison, Ella Young, Camryn Wilson, Porter McDonald, Channing Beavers, Molli Claire Joiner, Gracie Harper, Sadie Blue, Kelton McCann, Emily Ferrell, Emily Rennow and Savannah McCullough.
