Preston Earl Watson died unexpectedly January 20, 2017, at the age of 49. Earl was a friend to many and had a talent for making people feel special. He was a gifted craftsman and fisherman and had an extraordinary artistic talent. He had a gentle, sweet spirit, and he would tackle any job with fearless compassion. He had an extremely supportive extended family that loved and adored him. Earl had many friends from all walks of life and served as an inspiration for many. He loved and cared wholeheartedly for his dog, Bo. He was a warm and loveable man that will be greatly missed.
Earl was preceded in death by his mother, Nell Thornton Watson. Surviving are his parents, Robert and Patsy Watson; siblings, Robert Watson, Jr., John W. Rea (Sonja) and Jennifer R. Moses (Shea); stepdaughter, Morgan Adams and her children; and numerous extended family members.
A memorial service is scheduled for January 29, 2017, 2 p.m., at New Hope Baptist Church, 75 Cogswell Avenue, Pell City, AL. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Earl’s life.
