Hello readers! I’m back with this week’s edition of What’s Up in Odenville.
Valentine’s Day.
The day every single lady and non-single man dreads. If you are a single lady, you have to listen to all your married, or otherwise spoken for, friends and coworkers talk nonstop about what their sweetheart got them or where said sweetheart is taking them.
The non-single guys are under enormous pressure to out do themselves (and ever other man on the planet) by proving their love better than the next guy. The bar is so high you will never achieve it no matter what, and HER friend’s boyfriend is the one who set it. It’s a day of over priced flowers, candy and dinners – and I would even venture to say a lot of people hate to see this day coming more than a migraine. The hubz and I take each other to dinner somewhere we both like to eat, and last year we even took his mom with us. We are back at home in our jammies and watching Criminal Minds by 9pm. No pressure, belly is full and everyone is happy! Easy peasy!
Now let’s get to the news.
