“We do business the old-fashioned way,” Eddy said. “We make sure to always answer the phone personally, we don’t send people to a recording.”
This dedication to customer service and building a strong community relationship comes from Eddy’s desire to serve his neighbors. The pharmacist lives just minutes from MainStreet Drugs. He makes himself available to his patients at all times of the day and night.
“I’ll have people call me up at 2 in the morning for help, and I’m there for them,” Eddy said. “These people are my neighbors, my doctor, my friends and my church family.”
Eddy credits that business model as the reason behind his company’s growth throughout the area. While Eddy now works at Mainstreet Drugs, he also owns Ashville Drugs and Odenville Drugs, where he used to work; both stores also follow the same community-centered approach.
The community has responded well to the personal treatment they receive at the pharmacy. They have grown to recognize the staff as reliable and dedicated when it comes to improving personal health and well-being.
“Our community trusts us,” Eddy said. “I think that says a lot, it really means the world to us.”
