Hello, Pell City!

Don’t forget about the Pell City Civitan Club’s 7th Annual Float Yer Boat Cardboard Regatta coming up Saturday, Aug. 27! The event begins at 8 a.m. at Lakeside Park, and there will be music, fun, food, and, of course, some very interesting boat races. All proceeds from the regatta benefit Toys for Children and local projects for developmentally disabled citizens of Pell City.

Also on Saturday, Aug. 27, there will be a benefit concert for St. Clair County Tornado Victims. That event will feature a night with the music of The Statler Brothers and The Oak Ridge Boys as performed by Memory Lane with other special guests Roger Dale Parks, Sally Garnett, and Jina Wilkinson. The concert begins at 7:30 p.m. at the Pell City Center. Tickets are $10 and may be purchased at any Metro Bank in St. Clair County. One hundred percent of the ticket sales go to the American Red Cross for St. Clair County Tornado Relief.

The Wolf Creek Volunteer Fire Department will have a Community Breakfast this Saturday from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the fire department. The cost is $3 per plate.
