Internet provider Sparklight will host a community launch party Thursday, May 1, to celebrate the company’s rebrand from Hargray to Sparklight. The free event — held at the Sparklight office in Pell City at 1621 Cogswell Ave. from 1-5 p.m. — will feature refreshments, prizes and giveaways. Raffle items will include a gaming console, a tablet and streaming devices.

“Our rebrand to Sparklight is more than a name change — it’s a renewed commitment to Pell City and the customers we proudly serve,” John Hilbert, Sparklight Regional Director of Operations, said in a press release. “We look forward to welcoming Pell City residents and those in surrounding areas to come together and celebrate this exciting milestone with us.”
