In coordination with the Pell City School system, the Museum of Pell City (1000 Bruce Etheredge Drive, Suite 200 ) will host a Duran Jr. High Art Exhibition from April 24 through May 11. There will be more than 130 imaginative 2D artworks, including drawings, paintings and prints by students in grades 7 and 8 from Pell City Public Schools. Students have created art using a variety of materials from sharpie, charcoal, oil pastel, marker, colored pencil and paint.

The museum is open on Thursdays and Fridays, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. There is no admission charge.

Traveling and special exhibits like these are possible, in part, through the continued support of Metro Bank.

The Museum of Pell City is a nonprofit organization formed in 2021, located on the second floor in the Pell City Municipal Complex. The museum also hosts collections of artifacts, artwork, photographs and historical narratives
