Congratulations to Springville Middle School archers Landon Childs, Wyatt Porter and Jordyn Lyster for qualifying for the NASP State Archery Tournament in Montgomery April 4.

Scout Program Management gave an update on the progress being made with the new Springville Middle School. Slab pours have begun and foundation work and the building’s design will soon begin to take shape as vertical construction continues.

Congratulations to the SHS Lady Tigers tennis team for winning the Wetumpka HIgh School Tennis Tournament, Saturday, April 5.

Springville Elementary School students learned new math skills with Play-Doh Fractions April 3.

The Springville Elementary School Kindergarten Roundup will be April 29, from 9-10 a.m. at SES. Students will be assigned to a classroom while parents attend an informational meeting in the library. No need to sign up.

Springville’s Market on Main is looking for produce vendors for the 2025 season. As a certified Farmers Market under the Alabama Farmers Market Authority, they are dedicated to supporting local growers and providing fresh, high-quality produce to our community.  Market hours will be Saturdays, 9 a.m.- 1 p.m. in Downtown Springville. Springville Kids, a free summer day camp packed with fun, adventure and hands-on learning each Wednesday in June for kids of all abilities.

— June 18: Crafts in the Park at Big Springs Park with Paint All the Things. Parents must stay on-site, but are not required to participate. The day camps are limited to 25 campers per session. All Springville Kids staff have been background checked, have professional experience working with children and are CPR, AED and First Aid Certified to ensure a safe and fun experience for all participants. The 2025 Spring youth tennis clinics will start April 21, and end May 22. Cost is $150 (5 weeks/2 times per week) at Springville Sports Complex. Ages 6-8 (Red Ball): Mon./Wed. 4-5 p.m.; Ages 9-11 (Orange Ball): Tues./Thurs. 4-5 p.m.; Ages 12-15 (Yellow Ball): Tues./Thurs. 5-6 p.m. Students will Learn tennis skills, footwork and sportsmanship with a certified USPTA instructor. Limited to 12 spots per class (minimum of 4). Register by April 16, at springvilleparksandrec.com.  Rain dates will be Fridays or May 27-30 if needed.
