Locals recognized for academics

Christopher Jackson of Pell City earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance from Georgia State University at the end of the fall 2024 semester.

Jackson and more than 3,000 fellow students were recognized for their achievements during the university’s commencement in December 2024.

Molly Amick of Odenville haas been selected as Culverhouse Ambassador at The University of Alabama. The Culverhouse Ambassadors are the official student representatives, tour guides and recruitment agents for The University of Alabama’s Culverhouse College of Business.

These members join following a competitive selection process and are recognized as the most qualified undergraduate students in the college.

Amanda Shavers joined The Cullman Times in 1997 as the paper's first staff photographer. She has been News Editor since 2008. She is also Content Editor for Cullman Magazine (quarterly), Cullman County Graduation magazine, Fall in Love With Cullman magazine, Salute to Industry magazine and the Senior and Retiree Directory magazine. She is also Content Editor for the weekly St. Clair News-Aegis and she assists with the twice-weekly Athens News Courier.
