Buddy the Elf was spotted a few days before Christmas at Laster’s Sundries Ice Cream Shop in Springville shouting, “Don’t be a cotton headed ninny muggin.”

Springville High School Beta Club members were able to place wreaths on the graves of former American soldiers in four local cemeteries this holiday season including Red Hill Cemetery, Reeves Grove Cemetery, Springville Cemetery and Pleasant Hill Cemetery for Wreaths Across America.

Springville Elementary student Kopelyn Croft won Honorable Mention at the St Clair County Art Show Dec. 18.

Springville Elementary School hosted a book signing Dec. 18, with local Author Mark Grisham for his new book Diablo.
