A single-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 6:45 p.m. Monday, Nov. 4, claimed the life of a Pell City man.

According to troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, Caleb W. Saltsman, 20, waskilled when the 2008 Honda CBR1000RR motorcycle that he was operating left the roadway and struck a ditch. Saltsman was pronounced dead at the scene.

The crash occurred on Interstate 20 near the 156 mile marker, within the city limits of Pell City. Nothing further is available as ALEA’s Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
