Personal: We have special company this past weekend. Annette’s and Tommy’s granddaughter and my great-granddaughter, Hadley and her mother Kayla, visited us. Hadley is 20 months old and is such a joy. We took Hadley to one of the Trunk or Treats on Saturday where she got plenty of goodies. She was dressed as the cutest Skye (from Paw Patrols) ever. Sunday we all went to church at Victory and enjoyed a lazy afternoon. Aren’t grandchildren wonderful?

Church:

Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church will hold the following:

• Nov. 23, from 11-1, Community Thanksgiving Meal

• Dec. 7, the Woman’s Ministry will be doing a cookie exchange with Mt. Olive Baptist Church.

Trunk or Treats:

• A.B. Geter, 718 Order of the Eastern Star presents Trunk or Treat on Thurs. Oct. 31 at the Earnest White Building (904 16th St. So., Pell City) from 4-8 p.m. There will be hot dogs, walking tacos, hot cocoa bar, candy, and more.

• Join Victory Church on Thursday, Oct. 31, from 6-8 p.m. for its Annual Trunk-R-Treat! This massive event is a fun and safe place for your family to have a blast! There will be tons of candy, games, characters from your favorite movies and shows, and more.

• New Life Assembly of God will host a Hallelujah Night Fall Festival on Nov. 3, at 5pm. There will be games, hayride, bouncy house, bonfire and more.

And don’t forget, it’s time to “fall” back for the end of Daylight Savings Time on Sunday, Nov. 3. We will finally get that hour back.
