A variety of electric vehicles will be on display, and EV owners will be on hand to talk one-on-one with anyone interested in learning more about EVs at Northbrook Baptist Church in Cullman, 3691 Alabama Hwy. 157, Saturday, Sept. 14. The EV showcase will join other vendors outside the annual meeting of the Cullman Electric Cooperative.

The event, which runs from 9 to 11 a.m., is sponsored by Drive Electric Alabama and the Alabama Clean Fuels Coalition. ACFC President Michael Staley will display his all-electric 2024 Chevrolet Silverado pick-up truck, along with a tail-gaiting set-up that will show ESPN’s “College GameDay.” Other electric trucks scheduled to be at the showcase include a Ford F-150 Lightning, Rivian and Tesla Cybertruck.

“The best way to learn about EVs is to talk to people who are driving them every day,” Staley said. “I hope the tail-gating set-up will be a huge hit.”

The event is free and open to the public.

According to a press release, the ACFC, a nonprofit membership-based organization, “is the state’s principal coordinating point for alternative fuels and advanced technology vehicles. ACFC is a member of the U.S. Department of Energy’s Clean Cities program” and Drive Electric Alabama is “a statewide platform dedicated to improving the state through the adoption of electric vehicles.”
