Pell City 8U wins World Series, finishes as nation’s best

Pell City’s 8-and-under softball team wrapped a dominant season at the USA Rec Softball World Series in Albertville, July 5-7.
The team secured a perfect 6-0 record to take home the championship rings and cap their season at 21-0.
It also outscored its opponents 287 to 90 across those 21 games and finished as the top-ranked 8U team in the nation.
The team was recognized at this month’s city council meeting July 8.
