Greetings, Ashville. Summer in the South means intense heat. Summer in St. Clair County means intense fun. It also means summer camps. There are more than one. There are also more than one kind. So, get out your calendars.

At the time of this writing, Abby Peterson still has spots left at Art on the Farm. This is a comprehensive experience in all kinds of art: still life, pastels and much more.

The classes are Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 12-2 p.m. from August until December. The cost is $150 per month. This comes out to $20 per class.

Flow Church is holding a basketball camp for boys ages 6-12, from 9 a.m-12 p.m. from July 24-26. The cost is $75. It will be directed by Southside High School boys basketball coach Chad Holderfield.

The county fair is not until September, but they are accepting vendor applications now.

First time home buyers might not want to miss the educational event hosted by Stockton Mortgage July 23 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. There will be swag, door prizes and light snacks. The event is limited to the first 200 people to register.

Have a great week, Ashville. Try to stay cool. Take advantage of St. Clair County bodies of water.
