Pell City’s 8-and-under softball team capped an undefeated All-Star season with a fantastic — and title-clinching — performance at this year’s USA Rec Softball State Tournament in Gardendale on June 20-22.

Pell City outscored its opponents 205-65 across 15 wins during the season — claiming district and area championships along the way — and now will compete in the World Series — set for July 5-7 in Albertville.

EllaJo Lee, Rayleigh Staples, Emma Barnes, Letti Pierce, Londyn Turner, Nora Hall, Ava McCoy, Baylor Lane, Sadie Whittington, JJ Smoot-Hill, Ashlyn Jackson, Aspen McCloud, Ella Kaye Calhoun and Adalynn Phillips comprise this year’s squad.

Coaches include Andrew Lee, Dean Staples, Robert Barnes and Zane Calhoun.
