On May 11, Springville Civil Air Patrol Squadron, SER-AL-126 Cadet Hunter Finch flew a single engine Cessna over Springville at an altitude of 4,200 feet from Pell City Airport while learning how to recover a stall, experience G-forces and how to do a search and rescue flight path.
The SHS senior class held the annual Senior Walk through the halls of Springville Elementary May 17.

Local Springville author Mark Grisham stopped by Springville Elementary School to gift teachers with some of his book Diablo May 16.
The Springville Middle School 5th grade enjoyed a picnic and funday at Big Springs Park May 15 to celebrate the end of the school year.

The Springville Senior Center will offer an Easter craft show on Friday, March 29 from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the center.
Senior programs include the BBQ Summer Party 11 a.m. on May 28.
Ceramics and games are offered regularly at the center.
The Springville Preservation Society is taking reservations for use of the historic “Little House” located adjacent to the Police Department for events or meetings. Rates are $40 for two hours; reservations call Paulette Kelly at 205-467-3971.
