The AEA celebrated Springville High School principal Dr. Gregory Moore Jr., Alabama “Principal of the Year.” Dr. Susan Williams Brown, President of Alabama Education Association, visited SHS and showcased some of the achievements and programs at SHS Monday, Aprilil 8.

Springville High School hosted the St Clair County Special Olympics Saturday, Aprilil 6, with many participants and volunteers from SHS.

The Springville Middle School Choir won straight Gold ratings and the Middle School Choral Sweepstakes Trophy at Six Flags over Georgia at The Southern Star Music Festival Sunday, Aprilil 7.

The Springville Senior Center enjoyed an outing Saturday, Aprilil 6 at Greasy Cove in Gallant, for lunch, shopping and fun.

The Springville Civil Air Patrol will hold an open house Saturday, Aprilil 20 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Springville National Guard Armory for teens ages 12 and older.

The Springville Classic Golf Tournament will be Saturday, May 4, at Cumberland Lakes Golf Club to benefit Springville High School. Contact Springville High School for more information at 205-467-7833.

SES will hold Kindergarten Roundup Wednesday, May 1, at 9 a.m. This is an excellent time for parents and students to meet the staff at SES, including kindergarten teachers, counselors and administration. Parents will attend an informational meeting in the library and students will go to a kindergarten classroom with a kindergarten teacher. There is no need to sign up and doors will open at 8:30 a.m.
