The Pell City High School Math Team competed in round two of the statewide math tournament at UAB today. The geometry and comprehensive teams were district champions. Congratulations to all of these students!

The Pell City Historical Society will once again be sponsoring and presenting the 8th Annual Pell City Downtown Historical Walking Tours on Saturday, April 13. Tour times are 10 and 11:30 a.m. All tours will begin at city hall, 1905 1st Ave No. Arrive 15 minutes prior to each tour for registration and information.

On April 17, the Pell City Library will host Christopher Lang for its Wild and Wonderful Wednesday. Christopher trained in Furniture Conservation at the Smithsonian Institution. The meeting will begin at noon.

The Pell City Car Show will be on April 20 at Lakeside Park from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Food Trucks will be on site. Funds raised will 100% benefit the PCHS wrestling team.

The Pell City Garden Club will hold its Annual Plant Sale Friday, April 26 and Saturday, April 27. They will have Natives, including Azaleas, Hydrangeas, Gardenias, Spireas, Roses, Snowballs, Quince, Assorted Trees, Flowers and Hanging Baskets. All proceeds from the sale will be used to enhance our community.

Need summer care for the kids? It’s time to sign them up for the Boys and Girls Club, ages 6 and older from June 3-Aug. 2. Cost is $400 per first student, $350 for second student, and discounts for military, first responders and city employees. Call 205-814-0405 for more information.
