Egg Hunts: The Harvest Center will hold its egg hunt on March 23 from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Free food, games and bounce houses.
Victory Church’s Annual Balloon Drop Easter Egg Hunt is on March 24 right after the 10:30 a.m. service at both the Pell City and Talladega campuses. Grab your favorite Easter basket and join in for this fun afternoon of balloons, candy and Easter eggs for your kids – all for free!
Red Hill Farms-Phillips Family will hold an Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, March 30. Children’s hunt for 5 and younger will begin at 10 a.m. All other ages will begin at 11 a.m.
Community Easter Egg Hunt will be held at Lakeside Park on Saturday, March 30, from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. and will include ages 0-13.
Churches: On Easter, March 31, Victory Pell City will have three services to fit your needs. Services will be at 8:10, 9:15, and 10:30 a.m. Victory Talladega will hold two services beginning at 9:15 and 10:30 am. Childcare is available at all services. Then the following Sunday, April 7, at Victory Pell City and Talladega is Dreamcake Sunday.
Sports: Congratulations to the Pell City High School tennis team who are undefeated in section play.
Schools: Summer Driver’s Education Registration (PCHS) will be on Tuesday, April 9. Registration forms are available in the counselor’s office and the cost is $20.
PCHS Girls Wrestling Interest Meeting will be on April 9, at 5:30 p.m. in the PCHS lunchroom. This is for 7th-12th grades girls. See coach Huff or coach Reaves for more information.
Local: The 2nd Annual Riverside Beautification Organization Spring Fling will be on Saturday, March 23, from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. at Riverside Landing. The Easter Bunny will appear from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Easter Egg Hunt begins at 11 a.m. There will be food trucks, vendors, crafts, giveaways and more.
Terry Turner will appear at Jumbo’s on Old Coal City Road on March 23, from 5-7 p.m. Tickets are $20 (Does not include food) and seats can be reserved at tcbshows.com.
Lance Bell will be sending one boy and one girl to camp this year. If you have a son or daughter between the ages of 12 and 14, who would like to go to space camp, follow the link below. You also need to be a constituent of District 11 which includes St. Clair, Talladega, and Shelby Counties.
For students ages 12-14 with an interest in attending space camp in Huntsville this summer, please feel free to complete the application found on this website. The deadline to apply is March 31. This is an excellent opportunity for our students. Scholarships cover the cost with the exception of travel to and from the camp. The Pell City Historical Society will once again be sponsoring and presenting the 8th Annual Pell City Downtown Historical Walking Tours on Saturdays, April 6 and 13. Tour times are 10 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. All tours will begin at city hall, 1905 1st Ave No. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to each tour for registration and information.
