Hello everyone. Still “wacky” weather, cold, rainy, warm, sunny, which leads to lots of sicknesses going around. Hope you stay healthy.

Birthdays: Happy birthday wishes to Amy Beck, Myles Henderson, Amelia Rattigan, Nancy Tomlin, Renee Santiago, Abbie McKee Nolan, Elizabeth Benner and Amy Golden.
Anniversaries: Happy anniversary to Dr. and Mary Alice Kenley who celebrated their 58th anniversary Sunday, Jan. 28.
School: A big shoutout to Lillian Olin-Sanchez (Middle School Flute), Savannah Lee (High School Oboe)< and Keondra McGuire (High School French Horn) for being selected to represent the PCHS Band of Gold for District 2 Honor Band. Additionally, Savannah Lee will represent PCHS in the All-State Honor Band in Huntsville. Congratulations!
Sports: Congratulations to Kennadi Johnson for signing her letter of intent to play softball at Gadsden State.
Pell City Parks and Recreation Spring baseball, softball, and soccer registration are now open. Baseball and softball registration will end Feb. 4, and soccer registration will end Feb. 11. You can register in person at the Civic Center or online at pellcity.recdesk.com.
School: Coosa Pines and AOD Federal Credit Unions are offering local scholarships to seniors. Contact them for more information.
Local: The 9th Annual Pell City Rotary Father-Daughter dance, Up in the Clouds, will be Saturday, Feb. 3, from 5-9 p.m. at the Pell City High School. Tickets can be purchased at the Pell City Coffee Company, main branch of Metro Banks and on the CEPA website. Cost is $30 per couple ($15 for each additional child), $40 at the door.
Pell City Chamber of Commerce
Third Thursday will be Feb. 15, beginning at 11 a.m.
Business Builder will be Thursday, Feb. 22, from 8:30-9:30 a.m. Speaker will be Serge Brazzolotto, President of Pell City Rotary. This is event is free, but seating is limited and registration is required.
CEPA
“Nothing But the Truth” will be at the CEPA on Feb. 2 and 3 at 7 p.m. The Victory Christian School Drama Club will present this. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for students, age 5 and under are free. Tickets can be bought at the door.
On Feb. 16 at 7 p.m., the WingNuts return to CEPA to present an all-new show, the Classic Rock Cassette Era. Tickets are $25.
