All About Ashville

A great last-minute gift for people for whom we have no idea what to buy or don’t know very well, is restaurant gift certificates. There are plenty of locally owned and operated establishments.

The Little Art Tree’s Christmas Makers market is Dec. 23 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Owner, Jesse Alexander will host 5 to 7 vendors. A perfect opportunity to snag an original and personal present for those last-minute buyers. For most of us, it may seem like a long way off, but The Little Art Tree is already accepting applications for vendors for the Magnolia Artisan Market May 22 from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. This is a larger event and includes food trucks to nourish you while you’re shopping. There is a link on the Little Art Tree Facebook page and on the What’s Happening in Ashville Facebook page. Or stop by Court Street East and pick one up.

Between now and then there will be basketball games and wrestling tournaments. Dance line interest meetings and cheerleader tryouts and in March comes prom and spring break. Man, there will be many events and celebrations we don’t even know about yet.

So try to take a break yourself, Ashville. Take every opportunity for rest and reflection on 2023. Because in 2024, we will be springing forward. and events are coming faster than the Ashville High School track team.

Merry Christmas!
