Springville Elementary celebrated the Spelling Bee winner Parker Stano and second place winner Tanner Mitchell on Dec. 1.
The Springville Police Department and Chief Walton recognized several officers at the city council meeting on Dec. 4. Matthew Newton received the Police Officer of the year Award, Kevin Thompson received the Police Chiefs Award and officer Witt Burttram received the Top Gun Award. Also, the police department awarded I.T. support person, Asa Sergeant with a letter of appreciation for his hard work for the police department.
The Springville Library had a special visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus on Dec. 7.
The St Clair Boy Scouts have placed Snow Scouts around town for locals to find and post photos with on social media. #snowscouts

The Springville Preservation Society is taking reservations for use of the historic “Little House” located adjacent to the Police Department for events or meetings.
