Springville Parks and Recreation recognized Boy Scouts Troop 845 for help at the Run 4 The Parks 5K on Aug. 28 at city hall.

Springville Elementary Kindergartners created individual on illustrations on Aug. 30.

Congrats to SYSA, Springville Youth Soccer 2014 Springville Storm Team for placing second in a top division in the Liberty Cup Tournament on Aug. 30.

The Springville Cross Country Teams competed at the ACA Invitational at Sokol Park in Tuscaloosa on Aug. 26. Varsity boys placed 2nd and JV boys placed 1st in the 5K. There were several Top 10 individual finishes. Varsity Girls: Carmen McMaster 5th, Felicity Bentley 8th in the 5K. Varsity Boys: Elliot Denard 4th, Brayden Chandler 7th in the 5K. JV Boys: Easton Gunnells 2nd, Jack Hutchinson 4th and Matthew Mahaffey 7th in the 2.25 miles race.
