Special birthday wishes to my great-granddaughter, Sallie Harper Doty, who will turn 10 on Sept. 26. She is the daughter of Nick and Emily Vaughan Doty. Her grandparents are Tommy and Barbara Vaughan, better known as Chief and Abuela.

Congratulations to the Victory Christian Lady Lions Volleyball Team who finished in 1st place in the 2022 Lions Invitational Tournament.

Pell City Schools will dismiss at 1pm on Friday, Sept. 23 to prepare for the Homecoming Parade, which will be at 3 p.m. The game will begin at 7 p.m. Come out and support our players and coaches who work so hard.
PCHS 2022 Homecoming Dance will be Sept. 23 immediately after the game until 11:30 p.m. Tickets are $5 and can be purchased at the school.

Pell City High School is having Open House on Monday, Sept. 26 from 6-7:30 p.m. Meet your child’s teachers, update contact information, and get club information. Food trucks and Kona Ice will be onsite if you’d like to purchase dinner.
The St. Clair County Airport Aviation Career Day & Open House and Warbird Fly-in is Saturday, Oct. 8 at the St. Clair County Airport. Enjoy free pancake breakfast and hotdog lunch, career opportunity seminars, thrilling warbird aerial displays, walk through the static aircraft display featuring aircraft ranging from antiques to experimental home builds to business jets, experience a helicopter ride in a UH-1 “Huey” and listen to live music by the Wingnuts.

It’s almost time for the Annual October Coat & Blanket Drive sponsored by Good Works Foundation. If you have any coats or blankets that you are not using, please consider donating them to the Foundation. These are given away at the November Community Table. New and used, all sizes, just please wash them prior to donating if used. Drop off/collection locations will be posted later.
