The Russel Realty Group, Local Pest and Mosquito Team, and The Percussion Mortgage Group is offering to help parents save more with their Second Annual Back to School Free Haircut Event in Springville on July 30th at 1088 Highway 11 in Springville.

Students will receive Kona Ice, prizes and more in addition to a “new do”. There will be Kona Ice, prizes, and more. The event begins at noon and lasts until 2p.m. and it might just be the last event before Summer vacation is over.

On August 1st, The Gadsden Community Center is also hosting a free haircut event from 2 p.m. until 6p.m. All ages are welcome. Stylists from several top salons are lending their time. Accommodations will be made for special needs children.

The beginning of a new school year is always a little frantic: new clothes, new teachers, new classes. Some years are landmark occasions: first day of kindergarten, middle school, high school, the first day of the last year for seniors. For students, they are exciting and maybe a little scary.

For parents, they are a time to wonder where their little boys and girls are gone. So, while it isn’t easy, it’s best to think of these days as an adventure. Like the days of Summer vacation, childhood is fleeting. Parents can only enjoy it while it lasts.
