Birthdays and Anniversaries:

Special anniversary wishes to my daughter and son-in-law, Annette and Tommy Snow. They will celebrate 52 years on June 26th. Also, happy 26th anniversary to Lynda and Ren Wheeler.

Birthday wishes to my very special friend, Robert Holtam, who celebrated his special day on the 25th and to Pam Kendrick Fowler, Vicki Merrymon, Laurie Mathis Mullinax, Krissy Williams, Amy Phillips, Elizabeth Day, Anna Knepper, Carrie Jones, Ivy Thompson, Aribella Wagner, Madison Martin, Grady Wyatt Emerson, Bill Gossett, Cindy Goodgame, Kim Thweatt, Camaran Williams, Destiny Sayles, and Linda Walls.

Sports:

Congratulations to the Pell City U-6 Youth Park All Star Team who won the USSSA Gold Minor State Championship that was held in Pell City last weekend. They are now qualified for the World Series July 14-17 in Gulfport Mississippi. Teams from Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Arkansas Georgia and Texas will compete for the title.

Church News:

Bring your lawn chairs and join us on the Cropwell Baptist Church Campus, on the evening of July 4. You will be able to view the Lakeside Fireworks Show while also enjoying an evening of fun, and fellowship. Water and popsicles provided.

Cropwell Baptist Church’s Vacation Bible School registration is now open. Register your child/children at https://cropwell.churchcenter.com/registrations/events/1277326. VBS is open to children entering K4 — 6th grade. VBS begins Sunday, July 17 and will run through July 20th (6:30pm — 8:30pm)

Pell City First United Methodist Church will hold its VBS on June 27-29 from 6:00-8:00pm Cost: FREE, Wednesday night church wide, FOOD TRUCK Dinner! Rising 4k-7th grade.

CEPA:

Dates for the 2022 Spotlight Summer Drama Camp at the CEPA have been set, and registration is now open! July 11-22 are the dates. Register at pellcitycepa.com/camp.

On Fri, 7/8/2022 @ 7 PM, CEPA presents Local Sounds: Coosa Phat Katz. Tickets are $10.

On Sun, 7/24/2022 @ 2 PM, CEPA presents Run Through the Jungle feat. The WingNuts. Tickets are $20.

You are invited to the Business Builder Breakfast sponsored by Pell City Chamber of Commerce. It will be June 30 from 8:30-9:30am. Guest Speaker will be Ken Grissom, from the JSU Small Business Dev. Center. Limited seating so register early.
