Well, Spring Break is over. I hope you had a great week.

Special birthday wishes to my youngest daughter, Lisa Dobbs, who lives in Milton, FL. She who will celebrate her birthday on April 13th. She is not close by but is always close in my heart. Also, special birthday wishes to my grandson, Eli Vaughan and to my grandson-in-law, Nick Doty. Happy birthday to others, including Dennis Goodgame, Steve Polk, April Donohoo, April Abel, Nick Nixon, Jimmy Cagle, Prissy Patterson Caufield, Susan Cornett Pearson, Andrea Thomas, Jeri Hudgel, Barbara Brooks, Connie Millican, Denise Jernigan, Paula Lett, Jason Mitcham, Noelle Amanda Tuck, Gunner Jacob Patterson, and Carla Slovensky.

Daniel, Jennifer, Asher, and Gage Adams (my grandson and family) spent Spring Break at the beach. They reported that they had wonderful family time. I am sure that many others spent the time busy at home, or at the beach or mountains. Let me know so I can report in next article.

We had a long overdue Thomas Reunion (Willie and Hazel) at the PCFUMC Beacon on Saturday, April 2nd. There were 57 family members in attendance with lots of food and fellowship. My brother, Donald, along with his wife, Rachel, and children Vaughn and Anita, Bill, and Ben and Michelle with their children. My sister, Ann Harmon, was there with her son Bart and daughter-in-law, Holly, along with several of Ann’s grandchildren and great grandchildren. My sister-in-law, Jackie represented our late brother, Eddie, along with her children, Alan and Melinda and husband, Jim, as well as her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Most of my children came, Annette and Tommy, Deborah and Mike, Laura and Ricky, and Tommy. My granddaughter, Kayla and her husband, Beaux were there. My grandson, Jeremy and wife, Heather, and children Anna Beth and Sam were also there. We also had family from my daddy’s brother, Oscar’s, family there and that made it even more special. We so appreciated that Sue (Thomas) and Fredy Snow, Barbara (Thomas) and Billy Abel, Katanna, and Al Mickle with children Truly, and Trevor were able to join us. Hopefully, we can it again soon.

A few weekends ago, my daughter Annette drove myself and my sister Ann to Haleyville for a cousin’s birthday party. Mark is a child with downs syndrome, and we celebrated his 62nd birthday with a group of about 50 family members. Mark’s parents, my aunt and uncle, Betty and LV McNutt, have been holding annual birthday parties for him as long as I can remember. This was a fun day with lots of food and fellowship, which also served as a Pounder/McNutt reunion. We have certainly enjoyed these few weeks of family love.
