At the CEPA: The Firebirds Doo Wop show begins at the beginning, tracing the evolution of Doo Wop from the classic sound of four guys singing tight harmonies on a street corner. In their epic shows they take audiences on a journey from foundational tunes of groups like the Crests, Belmonts and Flamingos. Presented by Frank Shikle & Ed Jones, “Doo Wop at its Finest” will premiere at The Center for Education and Performing Arts in Pell City on April 23 at 7 p.m.
The Black Jacket Symphony will return on June 10 at the CEPA. The Black Jacket Symphony recreates AC/DC’s “Back in Black” live in its entirety—note for note, sound for sound—plus a full set of greatest hits from the evening’s artist.
