Ashville community sports are putting swing into Spring. They are ramping up their baseball and softball programs. Games begin in April.
There will be a softball pitcher and catcher mini clinic on March 27th and April 3rd at the Ashville High School softball field for girls eight and up. The time 2p.m. until 4p.m. but participants are asked to arrive at least fifteen minutes early for registration. The cost is $20 per day.

The Alabama Communities for Excellence have sent their representatives. The meeting with the stakeholders went “very well” according to the Mayor’s office. They expect a report from the committee around the first of April.
Ashvillians will have to endure the absence of their beloved library until April 5th. That is when they open at their new location at the former medical center at 35715 US Hiway 231. More room for more activities promise something bigger and better than ever.
Begining tomorrow at 9a.m. is The Rustik Bucket Feather Your Nest event at the St. Clair County Rodeo arena. It is being hosted by Cozy Nest. Shoppers can expect over 65 vendors with various wares including Andy Crow’s outdoor furniture to spruce up your patio and lawn for the much anticipated warmer weather to come.
Have to work tomorrow? No worries. This is a two day event. The hours are 8a.m. until 6p.m. Fortunately, there will be food to fuel up for what promises to be a marathon shopping event!
