This year, March 17th will be about more than Shamrock’s and getting pinched for the crime of not wearing green. The St. Clair County Young Republicans will be hosting a meeting with several candidates in the St.Clair County elections. Every citizen is encouraged to be at the courthouse in Pell City at 6 p.m.

Well done to Ashville High School basketball players Sara Beth Potter, Jacob Wilson and Ashton Vann. Rachel St. John. These talented athletes were chosen for the Alabama High School Sports Association’s all area team. We know you will take your A game with you!

Further congratulations to the Ashville High School Budawg Band for receiving superior marks across the board at the Alabama Bandmasters Association Music Performance Assessment. To quote bandleader, Tim Harris, “these kids are awesome!” But a school band isn’t just about music. The dance line and color guard provide the visual that makes it not only a sight but a sound to behold!

The Ashville High School football team has kicked off their Lightbulb Fundraiser.

Coach Monroe says this will be discussed further at the parent meeting March 13th. However, you do not have to wait. There is a link on the “What’s Happening in Ashville” Facebook page now. Just click and purchase!
