Congratulations to SHS Senior Clark McWhorter who signed with Jacksonville State University on Feb. 22 for Rifle.

Springville Elementary School Principal, Mr. Longshore recognized Crossing Guard Sarah King for keeping students safe on National Crossing Guard Day, Feb. 24.

The Springville High School Wrestling Team competed at the AHSAA 5A-6A State Tournament on February 20th in Huntsville. Wrestlers Chase Cambpell won 8th place, Trent Gilham placed 4th and Cj Williams placed 3rd in their respective brackets coached by Coach Vann and Coach Cochran.

Springville Middle School is hosting the Springville Classic Golf Tournament on May 8 at Cumberland Lakes Golf Course in Pinson, Alabama to benefit SMS students. Cost is S400 per team. Registration is at www.sccboe.org/sms

Due to rising Covid-19 cases, the Springville Public Library and other city offices have temporarily closed all lobbies to in-person visitors.

The Springville Preservation Society is taking reservations for use of the historic “Little House” located adjacent to the Police Department for events or meetings.
