I hope all you readers enjoyed a happy Thanksgiving holiday weekend despite the pandemic. I enjoyed the special day. I was privileged to be with two of my sons. We enjoyed a traditional Thanksgiving dinner of turkey, dressing, gravy, ham, mashed potatoes, green beans and ambrosia. Most importantly, we were very thankful to be together. However, we missed those of our family who could not be with us.

Happy birthday to my maternal cousin, Betty Willingham, Nov. 24, my niece, Ginger Knight, Nov. 30, my great-great niece, Janna Black, Dec. 2, my great-great nephew, Brody Blair, Dec. 4 and lastly to my grandson, Stephan Scott, Nov. 25.

Our sincere prayers and condolences are with the families of Mrs. Margie Smith Castleberry, 88, of Pell City, who passed away on Oct. 27. Prayers and condolences to the family of Jennifer Morgan Green, 53, of Ragland, who passed away on Nov. 23. Prayers and condolences to the family of Jack Isbell Jr., 88, of Coal City, who passed away Nov. 26.

There will be a celebration of life service held in memory of Mrs. Margie Smith Castleberry on Saturday, Dec. 5 at 11 a.m. at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church, 1425 Mt. Moriah Rd., Pell City. Visitation will be held at 10 a.m.
