Hello everyone. Well it looks like fall is coming. Last few days have been wonderful. And the rains have been nice too. We really needed them.

Congratulations to Greg Crump who was elected to be on the Pell City Board of Education in the run-off election last week. I am sure that Greg will do a great job.

Congratulations to the Pell City High School Football Team. They beat Springville on Friday night. It is good to have our team healthy.

Many churches are planning their annual Fall Festivals, Trunk or Treats, etc. And there will be plenty of chances for the kiddos to get lots of candy. Will post as soon as I know the dates and times. But for now, the Cropwell Baptist Church invites you to join them for their annual Trunk or Treat event on Wednesday, Oct. 28 at 6 p.m. “This is always a fun time, where we can fellowship together and show the love of Jesus to our community.” Victory Christian will have a drive-thru Trunk or Treat on Saturday, Oct. 31 from 5-7 p.m. New Hope Baptist will have its Trunk or Treat on Wednesday, Oct. 28 from 6-8 p.m.

Happy 10th wedding anniversary to Daniel and Jennifer Adams. Daniel is one of my great-grandsons.

A special birthday wish goes out to my grandson, Michael Snow, who turns 15 next Thursday, the 22nd. He is the son of Tommy and Annette Snow. I am sure I will wish him a happy birthday in my next column, too. Can’t have too many birthday wishes.

Also, Happy Birthday to my special friend, Ruth Bush. Other October birthday wishes include Billie Ruth Windsor, Janet Weldon, Rhonda Brantley Beam, Martha Mitcham, Pam Ballard, Ken Polk, Kris Harris, Abi Thibado, Austen Lett, Kevin Ballard, Bill Hereford, Phillip Church, Fred Bunn, Ardis Weems, Joe Dorough, and Greg Williams.

You are invited to a “social distancing friendly” event on Oct. 22 at 6 p.m. at the Avondale Walking Track. Ann’s New Life Pregnancy Medical Center is sponsoring the movie “October Baby.” This will be a laid back, relaxed event where you will learn more about what is happening at the center. There will be a Chick Fil A food truck on site and 10% of proceeds will be donated to the center. So, just show up with your lawn chairs, blankets, and donations to enjoy a great evening under the stars.

Meanwhile at the CEPA: On Tuesday, Oct. 27 from 6 – 8 p.m., the PCHS Halloween Spooktacular Talent Show.

Need exercise, but just can’t get in the mood. Each Monday evening at the Pell City Civic Center, Line Dancing begins at 6:30. It is a great cardio and great fun. It is open to all levels but is good for beginners. It is $5 a class for non-members. Visit www.pellcity.recdesk.com to create a profile for faster service.
