Hello everyone. Sure, hope things are well with you. And so thankful for a little cooler weather.
Many of the churches are gearing up for their annual Fall Trunk-R-Treats. I will post them as I get the information. Remember they are a safe way for your kids to have fun and get lots of candy.
Join Cropwell Baptist for its annual Trunk or Treat event on October 28 at 6 p.m. This is always a fun time, to fellowship together and show the love of Jesus to our community.
Tonight, is the last night for the Come to Christ Crusade at Eden Westside Baptist Church from 6:30-8:30 p.m.
Congratulations to my granddaughter, Kayla Snow Byrd, who passed her practical and certification exams. She is now a Certified Phlebotomist. Kayla and husband Beaux live in Montevallo.

I had a wonderful 90th birthday even if I couldn’t get together with all my family together. They had planned a celebration on Sunday, but my daughter Annette’s family came down with Covid and plans had to be postponed. Still, my son, Tommy and daughter-in-love, Barbara, came to visit me at my sisters on Sunday. They brought lunch and dessert. Monday morning, I received a surprise delivery that included flowers, a balloon, and a birthday cake. Annette was finally out of quarantine and we spent time together on Tuesday, including a nice lunch. We also had a Zoom birthday celebration with my daughter Deborah and granddaughter Kim. If you don’t already know, a mother’s most fun time is to spend time with her children.
Pell City Football games were canceled for the past two Friday nights due to COVID. Hopefully, all are well and quarantine over and games can resume.
As for the Victory Christian Lions, they are having an awesome season so far. They beat Ider on Friday night, 14-12.
The Pell City High School Cross Country team recently competed at the Jesse Owens Classic. Several team members had personal records and every member improved their time at the same exact course three weeks earlier. Jennifer Lee is their Coach with help from Coach Gerald Johnson. The boys team came in 11th out of 27 teams. River Richard was 8 out of 215 runners. Congratulations team and coaches.
Bart Perry State Farm is moving to a new location at 1605 Martin St. So, Stuit 1. You are invited to its grand reopening celebration on Oct. 14 at 10:30 a.m.
