Springville Police Department’s Sgt. Williams responded to an alarm call on June 27 only to be surprised by a pet kangaroo who tripped the alarm.

ROOdy the kangaroo lives at CareDan Farm in Springville along with goats, pigs, chickens and horses. My Farm Day is owned by Caren and Danny Davidson.

Moody, who was a Christmas present to Caren from Danny, was only 7 months old and 11 pounds when he arrived at the farms. Fully grown, the Davidsons expect ROOdy to weigh about 200 pounds and be 4 feet tall.

“When you arrive on an alarm call, its best to always be aware of your environment.. you never know what might be jumping around,” Springville Police Department shared.

Along with a plethora of animals, My Farm Day offers goat yoga. “Yoga is known to be good for the mind, body and spirit. So is sunshine, laughter, fellowship and playful goats. How can you take life, or yoga class, too seriously when goats are jumping atop your best downward dog pose,” Caren shared.
